WSP Issues Sketch of Unidentified Woman in Cold Case

By The Chronicle

The Washington State Patrol this week issued a new sketch of a still-unidentified woman killed in a collision north of Kalama more than 25 years ago.

The woman died in a fiery collision on May 14, 1991 on southbound Interstate 5 north of Kalama.

She was never identified, and was buried in an unmarked grave at Longview Memorial Park and Cemetery. In January, 2014, her body was exhumed.

Using the woman’s skull and bone structure, forensic artist Natalie Murry created a sketch to help detectives identify the woman.

“Police sketches are a routine part of law enforcement investigations but are rarely used to help identify a person involved in a motor vehicle accident,” according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol. “Investigators hope someone may recognize the sketches below and create leads or even identify the woman.”

To report information about the woman, contact Det. Sgt. Stacy Moate at 425-401-7745.
