Two Airlifted, Suspect on the Run After Chehalis Crash

Two people were seriously injured and a third fled the scene after a head-on collision Wednesday night in Chehalis. 

The crash was reported at 9:08 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and West Street. 

Two patients from one vehicle were airlifted to trauma centers, said Chehalis Fire Chief Ken Cardinale. 

The Chehalis Police Department identified the victims as a 68-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl, both from Winlock. Their conditions are unknown at this time. 

The driver of the second vehicle reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived, according to the police department. 

The suspect is described as a heavy-set Hispanic male standing about 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He is estimated to be about 30 years old.
