Thurston County Sex Offender Registers as Transient

A level 1 sex offender recently registered as a transient in Thurston County, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

Wilson D. Butler, 19, is required to register as a sex offender due to a 2016 conviction in Thurston County Superior Court for four counts of second-degree child molestation. Butler, at age 18, was accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.

He was sentenced to 116 months in prison, but only served 305 days in jail under the Special Sex Offender Sentencing Alternative.

Butler is described as a black man standing 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
