Thurston County Man Reported Missing Was Meeting Buyer in Online Sale

A Thurston County man was reported missing this week after last being seen Sept. 5 in the Nisqually Valley area, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, Eric A. Rearden, 42, went at about 8 p.m. Sept. 5 to the Chevron gas station in Nisqually Valley to meet a potential buy for some fishing poles he listed on the “Offer Up” website.

The potential buy was reportedly from Lynwood.

Rearden was last seen driving a red 1995 Suzuki Swift two-door.

He is described as a white man standing 6 feet, 5 inches tall with brown hair in a crew-cut and hazel eyes.
