A 17-year-old boy was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center to be treated for injuries following a crash Thursday morning, according to a press release.
When Riverside Fire Authority personnel arrived on the 600 block of Reynolds Avenue in Centralia at about 7:20 a.m, a pickup was suspended over the ditch and the teen was on the ground outside of the vehicle. It is unclear if he was ejected from the pickup or if exited the vehicle himself.
Riverside Capt. Scott Weinert said it is believed the boy suffered internal injuries.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, the Centralia Police Department and the Washington State Patrol also responded to the wreck.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
