• At 9:31 a.m. on Friday, power tools were reported stolen from a business in the 2000 block of Johnson Road.

Speakers Stolen in Storage Unit Burglary

• At 9:52 a.m. on Friday, speakers were reported stolen from a storage unit in the 1200 block of North Pearl Street.

Fraudulent Tax Return Reported

• At 12:06 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of tax fraud from the 800 block of North Pearl Street. An unknown suspect reportedly used a person’s Social Security number to fraudulently file a tax return.

Vehicle Prowl

• At 1:18 p.m. on Friday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 600 block of Warsaw Street. Keys were stolen.

Cash Taken

• At 3:01 p.m. on Friday, a person reported $40 stolen in the 1300 block of Alexander Street.

Police Recover Abandoned Vehicle

• At 3:21 p.m. on Friday, police recovered an abandoned Kia Optima at the intersection of Hemlock and Plum streets. The vehicle had been reported stolen in California.

Centralia Woman Cited on Trespassing Charge

• At 6:02 p.m. on Saturday, police cited Wendy L. Payne, 51, of Centralia, in the 1200 block of South Tower Avenue on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespassing.

Woman Booked on Assault Charge

• At 10:12 a.m. on Sunday, police arrested Sarah M. Culp, 35, of Centralia, in the 1000 block of North Pearl Street on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Tires Slashed

• At 2:03 p.m. on Sunday, a person reported their vehicle’s tires were slashed overnight in the 1100 block of Roosevelt Avenue.

Truck Tailgate Stolen

• At 2:07 p.m. on Sunday, a truck’s tailgate was reported stolen in the 300 block of Latona Street.

Woman Arrested on Suspicion of Protection Order Violation

• At 3:24 p.m. on Sunday, police arrested Kazia D. Hartmann, 33, of Centralia, in the 100 block of East Hanson Street on suspicion of violating a protection order and outstanding warrants.

Shoplifting Suspects Cited

• At 3:55 p.m. on Sunday, police cited Michael A. Kauer, 44, of Centralia, on suspicion of shoplifting.

• At 12:46 p.m. on Monday, police arrested Desiree M. Webley, 20, of Chehalis, in the 1300 block of Lum Road on suspicion of second-degree theft. Webley was allegedly caught shoplifting an amount of merchandise from a store that qualified the theft as a felony.

Vehicle Hits Pole

• At 4:21 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 600 block of West Maple Street to a report of a vehicle hitting a pole.

Connecticut Man Booked on Assault Charge

• At 1:28 a.m. on Monday, police arrested Kyle A. Weckesser, 19, of Rockfall, Connecticut, in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road in Centralia on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Man Arrested After Window Broken

• At 10:39 p.m. on Sunday, police cited Michael J. Bock, 46, of Centralia, in the 1200 block of Mellen Street on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief for allegedly breaking a vehicle’s window during an argument.

Woman Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 8:59 a.m. on Monday, police arrested Jessica R. Gladue, 37, of Centralia, in the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief, both domestic violence offenses.

Thefts Reported

• At 8:14 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft in the 2100 block of North National Avenue. No arrests were made.

• At 2:24 p.m. on Friday, a shoplifter was reported in the 500 block of South Market Avenue. No arrests were made.

• At 8:15 a.m. on Sunday, a shoplifter was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made.

Lawn Equipment Stolen From Truck

• At 9:51 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a grass sweeper stolen from the bed of a truck in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard.

Suspect Arrested on Meth Charge

• At 3:23 p.m. Friday, police received a report of people trespassing on a property in the 200 block of Southwest 14th Street. Loring C. Thomas, 54, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

Accused Shoplifter Cited

• At 3:36 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a shoplifter filling a bag with DVDs in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. Jaelynn N. Pluard, 24, of Oakville was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft.

DUIs

• At 9:50 p.m. Friday, police arrested James R. Smiley, 45, of Centralia, on suspicion of driving under the influence in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

• At 1:14 a.m. on Saturday, police arrested  Keith M. Wood, 32, of Chehalis, on suspicion of DUI in the 200 block of South Market Boulevard.

Vehicle Damages Electrical Box

• At 3:53 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a vehicle driving through a yard in the 200 block of Southwest William Avenue. The vehicle reportedly damaged an electrical junction box.

Teen Booked on Assault Charge

• At 10:47 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of an assault in the 500 block of Southwest William Avenue. A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Speeder Reported Drifting Around Corners

• At 12:47 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a vehicle regularly speeding and drifting around corners in the 200 block of Southwest First Street.

Lock Cut on Storage Unit

• At 8:59 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report that a lock was cut at a storage unit in the 1900 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue.

Suspects Arrested on DUI Charges

• At 2:28 a.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the 1800 block of Little Hanaford Road in Centralia after receiving a report of a vehicle accident. The driver reported he swerved to avoid a deer, causing his vehicle to roll. Deputies arrested the driver, identified as Joshua D. Bales, 22, of Centralia, on suspicion of DUI.

• At 8:47 p.m. on Friday, deputies arrested Kevin T. Alire, 59, of Chehalis, in the 300 block of West Main Street in Chehalis on suspicion of DUI after seeing him drive several blocks with no headlights.

• At 12:38 p.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a report of a man driving a truck while “huffing” from an air can. The man reportedly passed out while driving at one point. Deputies arrested the driver, Joseph M. King, 33, of Napavine, on suspicion of DUI at about milepost 1 of Newaukum Valley Road.

Packwood Cabin Burglarized

• At 4:43 p.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a report of a burglary occurring in the past two weeks at a cabin in the 100 block of Timberline Drive West in Packwood. Unknown suspects forced a door open and ransacked the cabin. Stolen items include air compressors, chain saws and a generator valued at $10,000. The incident is under investigation.

Onalaska Man Arrested on Drug Violation After Traffic Stop

• At 11:56 p.m. on Friday, deputies stopped a vehicle in the 400 block of Centralia-Alpha Road for speeding. The driver, Daniel G. Church, 56, of Onalaska, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and heroin and referred to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license.
