Centralia Police Department

Suspects Booked for Warrants, Drug Charges

• At 7:23 a.m. on Friday, police responded to the 300 block of North Pearl Street and arrested Scotty E. Mullins, Jr., 32, of Centralia, for a state Department of Corrections warrant and on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

• At 12:38 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 800 block of West Main Street and arrested Joshua L. Harris, 46, of Chehalis, on an outstanding state Department of Corrections warrant and on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

• At 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 100 block of West Main Street and arrested Steven D. Couch, 32, of Centralia, on an outstanding warrant and on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.

Hit and Runs

• At 8:14 a.m. on Friday, a hit and run damaging a parked vehicle was reported in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue. 

• At 4:45 p.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. A vehicle reportedly rear-ended a second vehicle and fled the scene. The suspect vehicle is described as a lifted white Jeep Cherokee and the driver was described as a man with facial hair.

• At 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Bicycles Stolen

• At 12:19 p.m. on Friday, a mountain bike was reported stolen in the 200 block of Hemlock Street and recovered on Harrison Avenue. The victim reportedly saw a person riding the stolen bike. The suspect reportedly ditched the bicycle and ran away. 

• At 5:37 p.m. on Friday, a black and green BMX-style bicycle was reported stolen from the 900 block of North Pearl Street. 

• At 5:40 p.m. on Friday, a purple BMX-style bicycle was reported stolen in the 100 block of H Street.

• At 12:34 p.m. on Saturday, a black and yellow BMX-style bicycle was reported stolen in the 300 block of North Diamond Street.

• At 7:38 p.m. on Friday, a blue bicycle was reported stolen from a porch in the 600 block of North Pearl Street.

• At 8:43 a.m. on Monday, a bicycle was reported stolen from the 900 block of North Pearl Street. 

• At 9:02 a.m. on Monday, a yellow and black BMX-style bicycle was reported stolen in the 300 block of North Diamond Street. The bike was reportedly stolen Saturday.

Cash, Coins Stolen in Burglary

• At 2:54 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a burglary in the 1400 block of Johnson Road. A wallet containing $100 and a bag of nickels and dimes were reported stolen from an apartment. 

• At 9:35 a.m. on Saturday, about $40 in coins were reported stolen in a burglary in the 1200 block of West Main Street.

Woman Arrested for Warrant, Possession of Stolen Property

• At 11:20 p.m. on Friday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Kimberly R. Iverson, 42, a transient, on an outstanding Centralia Municipal Court warrant. She was also arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property.

Man Arrested After Allegedly Pawning Stolen Item

• At 11:14 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 800 block of West Main Street after receiving a report of trafficking in stolen property. Steven R. Fenton, 42, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of trafficking in stolen property after allegedly pawning an item that didn’t belong to him.

Money Stolen

• At 5:23 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a theft of money in the 1500 block of Harrison Avenue. The case is under investigation. 

Man Booked on DUI, Hit and Run

• At 6:41 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 600 block of M Street and arrested Richard R. Morris, 25, of Centralia, on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run. He allegedly drove his vehicle off the road and damaged another person’s property. 

Man Issued Summons After Alleged Kick to the Face

• At 11:39 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue and issued a court summons on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence to a 29-year-old Centralia man. He allegedly kicked his girlfriend in the face in a dispute over a vehicle.

Trash Can Stolen

• At 11:07 a.m. on Sunday, a trash can was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Woodland Avenue. 

Man Booked On Drug Charge After Found Passed Out in Vehicle

• At 11:48 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Logen K. Elliott, 20, of Chehalis, on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and heroin. He was reportedly found passed out in a vehicle holding pipes used to smoke the drugs. 

Vehicle Tabs Stolen

• At 1:17 p.m. on Sunday, vehicle tabs were reported stolen in the 400 block of South Cedar Street. 

Backpack Stolen After Left Unattended

• At 5:46 p.m. on Sunday, a woman reported her backpack stolen in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue after it was left unattended. 

Juvenile Steals Cigarettes

• At 9:28 a.m. on Monday, police received a report of a juvenile male stealing cigarettes from a store in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue. The cigarettes were recovered and the juvenile was referred to prosecutors on a theft charge. 

Wallet, Identification Stolen

• At 9:39 a.m. on Monday, a wallet with identification and a social security card was reported stolen in the 1300 block of Alexander Street. The theft occurred between Sept. 4 and Monday.

Money Orders Taken

• At 10:54 a.m. on Monday, money orders were reported stolen from the 1800 block of North Pearl Street.

Stolen Credit Card Used

• At 2:14 p.m. on Monday, police received a report that a stolen credit card was used in the 100 block of West Maple Street. 

Assault Suspect Booked

• At 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday, police arrested Alexander L. Pilon, 28, of Centralia, in the 100 block of Lilac Lane on suspicion of second-degree assault for allegedly assaulting two women.

Chehalis Police Department

Hit and Runs

• At 7:33 a.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Major damage was reported to a 2015 Ford F-250.

• At 2:08 a.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 200 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue. 

• At 8:49 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way. A red Ford Focus reportedly drove through shrubs and hit a sign. No arrests were reported.

Centralia Man Booked on Trespassing Charge, Warrants

• At 9:21 a.m. on Friday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue to a report of a trespasser. Kennard P. Supak, 25, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and two outstanding warrants. 

Woman Booked on Domestic Violence Charge

• At 7:19 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 2100 block of Southwest Olympic Drive and arrested Winona F. Gladue, 29, of Chehalis on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Vehicle Seen Driving Erratically, Spreading ‘Debris’ on Freeway

• At 9:25 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of an erratically driven vehicle at about milepost 79 of Interstate 5. The vehicle, a Ford Ranger, was reportedly loaded up with construction material and was scattering debris along the road. No arrests were made.

Drug Use Reported

• At 2:21 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a man using heroin in a store’s bathroom in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were reported.

Kittens Stolen, Left in Cooler

• At 4:12 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a theft of kittens in the 400 block of Southwest Third Street. A person reported children took the kittens, which were later found in a closed cooler. 

Counterfeit Cash Spotted

• At 7:07 a.m. on Sunday, a business in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue reported receiving a counterfeit $100 bill. 

Tool Set Stolen

• At 2:49 p.m. on Sunday, a tool set was reported stolen from the 100 block of Northeast Hampe Way. The accused shoplifter was described as a man in his 20s with a black baseball cap, black hoodie and shorts.

Vehicle Taken Without Permission

• At 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, a man reported a vehicle was taken without permission from the 100 block of Southwest Alfred Street. The vehicle was described as a gold 2006 Hyundai Elantra.

Vehicle Prowl Reported

• At 6:45 a.m. on Monday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1000 block of North National Avenue.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Woman Arrested After Rollover

• At 7:24 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a report of a rollover crash in the 3100 block of Cooks Hill Road in Centralia. Driver Tara M. Burgess, 33, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of DUI, driving with a suspended and reckless endangerment because three children, aged 7, 8 and 13, were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. 

Winlock Couple Booked on Assault Charges

• At 7:42 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 600 block of Meier Road in Winlock. The alleged victim, a 48-year-old man, reported his son assaulted him after an argument. While attempting to subdue his son, the son’s girlfriend allegedly hit him several times in the head with a piece of wood. Kodey L. Howard, 27, of Winlock, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and Samantha E. Taylor, 22, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault.

Suspect Sought After Assault Reported

• At 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 100 block of Dieckman Road in Chehalis after receiving a report of an assault. A 39-year-old woman reported her boyfriend assaulted and head-butted her. The suspect, a 28-year-old Chehalis man, was not located immediately after the report. Deputies plan to refer him to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for a possible charge of second-degree assault.

Toledo Woman Cited on DUI Charge

• At 2:20 a.m. on Monday, Lewis County deputies learned police in Thurston County were attempting to locate a Toledo woman last seen driving southbound on Interstate 5 at about 130 miles per hour. Deputies in Lewis County caught up to the vehicle going about 90 miles per hour at milepost 70 of the freeway. The driver, Kaylee I. Jackson, 25, was cited on suspicion of DUI and released due to medical needs. 

Ryderwood Man Cited After Suspected DUI Crash

• At 8:32 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 1200 block of Wildwood Road in Curtis after receiving a report of a vehicle crash into a field. The driver, Jimmy R. Flores, 60, of Ryderwood, was cited on suspicion of DUI and released. 

Lewis County Jail Statistics

As of Tuesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total population of 194 inmates, including 169 in general population and 25 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 130 were men and 39 women and of WERC inmates, 21 were men and 4 women. A total of 44 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
