Sirens: Fuel Stolen from Vehicles; Man Thrown into Bushes During Dispute; Fight in Parking Lot Reported

Centralia Police Department

Driver Cited After Crash

• At 9:15 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a vehicle collision at the intersection of Sixth and Pearl streets. One of the drivers was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign. No injuries were reported.

Fuel Stolen from Vehicles

• At 12:11 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft of fuel in the 1400 block of Grand Avenue. Approximately $150 in fuel was reported stolen from two vehicles.

Fraud Reported

• At 4:14 p.m. on Friday, fraud was reported in the 1000 block of F Street. A person reported money stolen from her bank account. The case is under investigation.

Theft From Business Under Investigation

• At 6:55 p.m. on Friday, merchandise was reported stolen from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. The case is under investigation.

Bicycles Stolen

• At 11:05 a.m. on Saturday, a yellow, men’s GT bicycle was reported stolen in the 200 block of North Tower Avenue.

• At 2:38 p.m. on Saturday, a bicycle was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Logan Street.

Vehicles Stolen

• At 11:05 a.m. on Saturday, a gray 1990 Honda Accord was reported stolen in the 1100 block of South Pearl Street.

• At 1:24 p.m. on Sunday, a 2007 Kia Rio was reported stolen in the 500 block of South Pearl Street. It was recovered later that night.

Woman Booked After Theft Report

• At 5:06 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a report of a theft in the 1300 block of South Gold Street. Cherisse Pearson, 29, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft after allegedly taking items from a convenience store.

One Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 5:39 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a report of an assault at the intersection of Fords Prairie Avenue and Harrison Avenue. Darren Fullerton, 51, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Cell Phones Stolen

• At 9:05 p.m. on Saturday, a cell phone was reported stolen in the 800 block of Field Avenue. The report is under investigation.

• At 10:18 a.m. on Sunday, a cell phone was reported stolen in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue.

DUIs

• At 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, police arrested Llewellyn Roy, 47, of Centralia, in the 200 block of East Plum Street on suspicion of driving under the influence.

• At 2:12 a.m. on Sunday, police arrested Norberto Corcuera-Hernandez in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue on suspicion of DUI.

Man Arrested on Obstruction Charge

• At 10:13 a.m. on Sunday, police arrested Shane C. Davis, 32, of Centralia, in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue on suspicion of obstructing an officer and an outstanding warrant.

Centralia Woman Booked on Burglary Charge

• At 1:59 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 100 block of South King Street and arrested Kimberly R. Terrell, 40, of Chehalis, on suspicion of second-degree burglary and an outstanding warrant.

Man Cited on Theft Charge

• At 3:23 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue to a report of a theft. Joshua A. Loney, 24, of Chehalis, was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Plants, Dishes, Cash Stolen in Burglary

• At 12:25 a.m. on Monday, a burglary was reported in the 1500 block of Grand Avenue. Plants, dishes and cash were reported stolen from a house in the past several days.

Disorderly Man Cited

• At 7:38 a.m. on Monday, police cited Christopher J. Maffei, 44, of Arizona, in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue on suspicion of unlawful transit conduct.

Fanny Pack Containing Canadian Money Stolen

• At 3:19 p.m. on Monday, a fanny pack containing Canadian money was reported stolen in the 2000 block of Cooks Hill Road.

Ethel Man Booked on Assault Charge

• At 4:46 p.m. on Monday, police responded to the 500 block of Harrison Avenue and arrested Mark C. Schultheis, 29, of Ethel, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence.

Chehalis Police Department

Accused Shoplifters Cited

• At 11:19 a.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of shoplifting in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Joseph K. Dodd, 36, of Chehalis, was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly taking $14.48 in merchandise.

• At 6:45 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a theft in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Alexis H. Fetters-Kruiger, 26, of Glenoma, was cited on suspicion of third-degree theft for allegedly not ringing up all the items in a shopping cart and leaving. The items taken were valued at $153.16.

Hit and Run

• At 3:38 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a hit and run in the 500 block of West Main Street.

Vehicle Prowls

• At 5:57 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a report of a vehicle prowl in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A woman reported that she put her purse in her vehicle while she returned a shopping cart and turned back to find a man had reached through an open window and taken about $200 from her purse. The suspect, Brandon S. Salise, 33, of Winlock, was arrested on suspicion of vehicle prowl and third-degree theft.

• At 8:25 p.m. on Friday, backpacks were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

Trespasser Reported

• At 9:13 p.m. on Friday, a trespasser was reported in the 200 block of Southwest 14th Street. A person in a truck was reported at a fire-damaged house.

Disorderly Conduct

• At 10:01 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of disorderly conduct in the 2100 block of North National Avenue.

• At 4:19 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of disorderly conduct in the 100 block of South 12th Street. A person reported their neighbor was yelling and cursing and pounding on walls.

Scam Reported

• At 11:47 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of an internet scam in the 500 block of Northwest Ohio Avenue.

Hat, BB Gun Stolen

• At 4:42 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a theft from the 1000 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue in Chehalis.  A camo hat and a BB gun modeled like a pistol were reported stolen. No arrests were made.

Wallet Stolen

• At 10:24 p.m. on Saturday, a wallet was reported stolen in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

Assault Reported

• At 11:14 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of an assault in the 2000 block of Jackson Highway. No arrests were made.

Man Thrown into Bushes During Dispute

• At 11:32 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a dispute in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. One man reportedly threw another into some bushes and drove away. No arrests were made.

Fight in Parking Lot Reported

• At 12:27 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a fight in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were reported.

Vehicle Prowl

• At 7:57 a.m. on Sunday, vehicle prowls on two cars were reported in the 100 block of Southwest Fourth Street in Chehalis. Items were stolen from two vehicles.

Man Booked on Protection Order Violation

• At 2:52 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 100 block of Southwest 12th Street and arrested David M. Souza, 64, of Chehalis, on suspicion of violation of a protection order.

Flooring Material Stolen from Truck

• At 4 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a theft from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A woman reported flooring material was stolen from the back of her truck while she was shopping.

Suspicious Man Throws Rocks at Vehicles

• At 6:29 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a man walking in the area of Northwest Louisiana Avenue and Northwest Airport Road “flipping off” passing vehicles and throwing rocks at them.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Man Arrested After Being Found in Family’s Living Room

• At 5:43 a.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the 1100 block of North Fork Road in Chehalis. A resident reported that his family’s dog alerted them to the fact that an unknown man was in their living room. The man reportedly demanded the family’s car keys. Stephen D. Cobb, 45, of Onalaska, was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary. He was scheduled to be charged Monday in Lewis County Superior Court, but his case was declined and sent to Lewis County District Court, according to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office.

Ethel Man Arrested for Assault with Rock

• At 1:23 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the 100 block of Tucker Road in Ethel to a report of an assault. Jerry Lee Larson, 60, of Ethel, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, domestic violence. A 46-year-old man reported that Larson threw a baseball-sized rock at him while he was operating a tractor.

Toledo Man Arrested on DUI Charge After Collision

• At 2 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of a collision at the intersection of Antrim Road and North Military Road in Winlock. Harold E. Reynolds, 62, of Toledo, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Lewis County Public Utility District

Power Outage Caused by Tree on Line

• A power outage affecting about 450 Lewis County PUD customers was reported Friday in the Big Hanaford Road area. The outage was reportedly caused by a tree on a line.

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Tuesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total population of 206 inmates. Of those, 175 — 148 men and 27 women — were in general population and 31 — 26 men and 5 women — were in the jail’s Work Ethic and Restitution Center unit. There were 40 inmates booked through contracts with out of county law enforcement agencies.
