Transient Arrested After Assault on Gas Station Employee

• At 8:52 a.m. on Friday, police arrested Christopher J. Clark, 31, a transient, in the 1200 block of Mellen Street, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. Clark allegedly assaulted a gas station employee shortly after she gave him money for a bus ticket and food. 

Hit and Run Damages Tree

• At 9:52 a.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1500 block of Jensen Avenue. A tree was damaged. 

Man Found with Meth During Investigation

• At 11:06 a.m. on Friday, police arrested Nicholas F. Henderson, 63, a transient, in the 700 block of North Pearl Street on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. He was reportedly found in possession of the substance during a trespassing investigation. 

Vehicle Stolen, Recovered in Thurston County

• At 11:14 a.m. on Friday, a vehicle was reported stolen overnight from the 2000 block of Johnson Road. The vehicle was later recovered, damaged, in Thurston County. 

Centralia Man Cited on Assault Charge

• At 1:56 p.m. on Friday, police cited Coy B. Mallory, 34, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault near the intersection of Woodland Avenue and Alder Street. 

Alcohol Stolen

• At 2:48 p.m. on Friday, alcohol was reported stolen from a business in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.  

Cash Taken

• At 3:44 p.m. on Friday, cash was reported stolen from a business in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue. An investigation is ongoing. 

• At 4:19 p.m. on Monday, money was reported stolen from the 600 block of North Gold Street. A suspect has been identified. No arrests were made.

Suspect Steals from Business

• At 4:57 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft from a business in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue. The suspect had previously been banned from the store, according to the police department.  

Women Arrested on DUI Charges After Crashes

• At 2:04 a.m. on Saturday, police arrested Torri E. Woodruff, 24, of Centralia, on suspicion of driving under the influence at the intersection of Pearl Street and Alaska Way. She reportedly crashed into a parked car, totaling both vehicles.

At 4:59 p.m. on Saturday, police arrested Lynette R. Pemberton, 53, of Centralia, in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue on suspicion of DUI after she allegedly crashed into two parked vehicles in a parking lot. 

Shoplifters Reported

• At 8:19 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a theft in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue. A person allegedly shoplifted a flashlight. 

• At 12:39 a.m. on Tuesday, a shoplifter reportedly stole food items from the 1000 block of Belmont Avenue. 

Vehicle Prowls

• At 9:38 a.m. on Monday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 700 block of Euclid Way. Documents were taken.

• At 1:14 p.m. on Monday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1200 block of West Main Street. A weed cutter was stolen from the vehicle’s trunk. 

Counterfeit Cash Reported

• At 9:45 a.m. on Monday, a counterfeit bill was reported in the 200 block of North Pearl Street. 

Bicycle Taken

• At 2:26 p.m. on Monday, a bicycle was reported stolen in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard. 

Two Booked on Drug Charges

• At 2:57 p.m. on Monday, police arrested David W. Grace, 20, of Winlock, and Sahvanna L. Lewerenz, 19, of Centralia, in the 1000 block of Eckerson Road on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine.  

Hose Stolen from Yard

• At 3:45 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a theft of a hose from a yard in the 900 block of West Second Street. 

Chehalis Police Department

Liquor Stolen

• At 2:51 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft of liquor in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made. 

Man Cited on Trespass Charge

• At 4:09 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of men on bicycles going into a building in the 200 block of South William Avenue that had been “red tagged,” meaning people are not allowed in. Adrian J. Gillespie, 44, of Chehalis, was cited on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass. 

Indecent Exposure Reported

• At 11:39 a.m. on Saturday, police cited Mark R. Pope, 47, of Wisconsin, on suspicion of indecent exposure in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Cell Phone Stolen

• At 3:58 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a stolen cell phone from the 300 block of Southwest Third Street. 

No Arrests After Assault Report

• At 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of an assault in the 2000 block of Southwest Cordoba Drive. No arrests were made.

Two Arrested on Assault Charges

• At 12:31 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of an assault on Southwest Ninth Street. Alejandro Casimiro, 26, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence, and resisting arrest. Guillermo Casimiro Gomez, 28, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault, domestic violence. 

Man Arrested on Burglary Charge for TV Thefts

• At 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue after receiving a report of a theft of televisions. Max M. Dantzler, 25, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary. 

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Man Booked on Physical Control DUI

• At 3:05 a.m. on Thursday, deputies driving on state Route 6 saw a vehicle partially in the road with a blinker on near the intersection with Goff Road. Deputies contacted the driver, Nolen J. Starling, 26, of Chehalis, and arrested him on suspicion of having physical control of a vehicle while intoxicated. 

Onalaska Man Crashes Trying to Avoid Raccoon, Booked on DUI Charge

• At 1:34 a.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to the intersection of Stowell and Talbott roads in Salkum after receiving a report of a possible collision. They arrived and arrested the driver, Robert D. Molina, 34, of Onalaska, on suspicion of DUI. Molina reportedly told deputies he was drunk and crashed after swerving to miss a raccoon.
