Woman Issued Court Summons for Alleged Assault

• At 9:43 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of an assault the previous night in the 1400 block of Harrison Avenue. Angie E. Gaffney, 29, of Centralia, was arrested and released and issued a court summons on suspicion of fourth-degree assault.

Volvo Stolen

• At 9:55 a.m. on Friday, a silver 2002 Volvo S60 was reported stolen in the 1500 block of Lewis Street.

Man Booked on Burglary Charge After Theft of Beer

• At 1:46 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to an alleged burglary in the 100 block of South Tower Avenue. Zim I. Hall, 33, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary for reportedly stealing a can of beer from behind the bar of a local drinking establishment. The Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office declined to pursue charges.

Man Cited for Negligent Driving After Burnout

• At 2:02 a.m. on Saturday, police arrested John D. Smith, 28, of Chehalis, on suspicion of first-degree negligent driving after reportedly watching him do a burnout in his vehicle in the 100 block of North Tower Avenue.

Boat Motor, Downriggers Stolen from Garage

• At 8:33 a.m. on Saturday, a burglary was reported at a garage in the 1200 block of Eckerson Road. A boat motor and downriggers were reported stolen.

Spray Paint Stolen

• At 9:39 a.m. on Saturday, multiple cans of spray paint were reported stolen in the 500 block of South Diamond Street.

Hit and Run

• At 10:49 a.m. on Saturday, a hit and run to a parked vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 11:41 a.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported to a parked vehicle in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue.

• At 7:09 p.m. on Saturday, a hit and run was reported in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue.

Bank Card Stolen

 • At 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a theft of a bank card in the 1100 block of South Pearl Street.

Bicycle Stolen

• At 10:28 p.m. on Saturday, a bicycle was reported stolen in the 900 block of Old Airport Way in Centralia.

Two Cited on Assault Charge

• At 1:25 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 700 block of Harrison Avenue. Destany M. Moore, 23, of Federal Way, and Laura E. Thomas, 25, of Indianapolis, Indiana, were cited on suspicion of fourth-degree assault for allegedly assaulting a co-worker.

Centralia Man Arrested on New Mexico Warrant for Sex Offense

• At 7:20 a.m. on Sunday, police arrested Tyson M.R. Collins, 24, of Centralia, in the 1100 block of North Pearl Street on a Los Alamos County, New Mexico, warrant on suspicion of child solicitation by electronic communication, sexual exploitation of children and criminal sexual communication with a child. He was booked into the Lewis County Jail.

Rape Report Under Investigation

• At 12:36 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a rape in Centralia. The case is under investigation.

Dog Bite Reported

• At 3:08 p.m. on Sunday, a dog bite was reported in the 1600 block of Johnson Road. The case has been referred to animal control officers for investigation.

Tire and Rim Stolen from Bicycle

• At 3:39 p.m. on Sunday, a tire and rim was reported stolen from a bicycle in the 1800 block of North Pearl Street.

Vehicle Window Broken

• At 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of malicious mischief in the 800 block of South Pearl Street. A rear window in a vehicle was broken out.

Vehicle Egged

• At 9:25 a.m. on Monday, police received a report that a vehicle had been egged in the 1100 block of Creekside Court.

Fraudulent Check Reported

• At 10:11 a.m. on Monday, a fraudulent check was reportedly cashed in the 1300 block of South Gold Street.

Garage Burglarized, Food Stolen

• At 6:43 p.m. on Monday, a burglary was reported to a detached garage in the 500 block of K Street. Food items were stolen.

DUI

• At 5:06 a.m. on Tuesday, police arrested Alfanzo Francisco Rodas, 31, of Centralia, in the 900 block of West Chestnut Street on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Centralia Man Booked on No-Contact Order Violation

• At 10:41 p.m. on Monday, police arrested Michael J. Bock, 46, of Centalia, in the 1200 block of Alder Street on suspicion of driving on a suspended license and violating a domestic violence no-contact order. He was reportedly not allowed to have contact with the passenger in the vehicle.

Possible Break-Ins Reported

• At 4:12 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a possible burglary in the 100 block of Southwest Sixth Street in Chehalis. A woman reported that her neighbors saw an unknown number of kids trying to break into her vacant house that is for sale.

• At 6 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a possible burglary in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A person reported the side door of the building was wide open, the front door was not locked, and a suspicious person was in the area.

Theft Reported

• At 5:24 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made.

Hit and Run

• At 5:54 p.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 500 block of South Market Boulevard. A vehicle reportedly hit the side of a building, then left.

Vehicle Prowl

• At 9:45 p.m. on Monday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. An iPhone was stolen.

• At 10:23 p.m. on Monday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

DUI

• At 2:28 a.m. on Monday, police responded to the 500 block of Northwest Chamber of Commerce Way and arrested Cody Church, 25, of Chehalis, on suspicion of DUI.

Employee Accused of Theft from Home Depot

• At 6:52 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of thefts in the past month by an employee at Home Depot in the 1700 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Jaden McMillan, 21, of Yelm, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft for allegedly stealing $2,100.

Vehicles Stolen

• At 6:44 a.m. on Monday, a red 1999 Acura Integra was reported stolen from the 300 block of Northwest Chehalis Avenue.

• At 1:08 p.m. on Monday, a black 1987 Toyota truck was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Southwest Thomsen Avenue.

Facebook Fraud Reported

• At 8:33 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of fraud from the 200 block of Southwest 10th Street. A person reported a person logged into his Facebook account without permission.

Alleged Shoplifter Cited

• At 7:27 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a report of a theft in the 1000 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. Joseph Dodd, 36, of Chehalis, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft of a fraudulent return of about $25.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

Kelso Man Suspected in Theft of Vehicle, Phone, Wallet from Winlock

• At 12:47 p.m. on Friday, deputies were dispatched to a report of a theft in the 400 block of state Route 505 in Winlock earlier that morning. A purple 2005 PT Cruiser, an iPhone 7, leather wallet and money were reported stolen. The suspect, identified as a 20-year-old Kelso man, has been referred to prosecutors on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and second-degree theft.

Centralia Man Arrested After DUI-Related Crash

• At 10:04 p.m. on Friday, deputies were dispatched to a report of a crash in the 800 block of Eshom Road in Centralia. Deputies arrived and found a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu with major damage. Deputies contacted a man seen running through a church parking lot next door and discovered he was the vehicle’s driver. The man, identified as Martin Olivares-Paulino, 24, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Suspect Booked on Physical Control DUI

• At 7:35 p.m., on Saturday deputies were dispatched to a report of a trespasser at the Toledo airport in the 5200 block of Jackson Highway. A person reported an old law enforcement vehicle full of people was doing doughnuts on the runway. Deputies arrived and found the vehicle in a grassy area near a hangar. The driver, Kelly J. Hilliard, 44, of Chehalis, was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail on suspicion of a physical control DUI.

Mini Bike, Quads Stolen from Chehalis Residence

• At 10:17 a.m. on Sunday, deputies were dispatched to a report of a theft in the 2500 block of Jackson Highway in Chehalis. A woman reported she placed a gas-powered mini bike, a battery-operated quad and a gas powered quad in her front yard with a for-sale sign. The items were reported stolen in the past few days.

Fires

Grass Fire Reported on Curtis Hill Road

• Firefighters from Lewis County Fire Districts 6 and 13 responded Monday afternoon to a brush fire in the 700 block of Curtis Hill Road south of Chehalis. The fire burned approximately a half acre of grass and hay.

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Tuesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total population of 208 inmates. Of the 182 inmates in general population, 152 were male and 30 were female. Of the 26 inmates in the jail’s Work Ethic and Restitution Center, 21 were male and five were female. A total of 43 inmates were booked through contracts with agencies outside of Lewis County.
