Centralia Police Department

Bicycles Stolen

• At 2:48 p.m. on Friday, a bicycle was reported stolen in the 1400 block of Johnson Road. 

• At 3:17 p.m. on Monday, a Trek Mountain 3900 bicycle was reported stolen over the weekend in the 1200 block of Marion Street. 

RV Batteries Stolen

• At 3:08 p.m. on Friday, batteries for recreational vehicles were reported stolen in the past month in the 100 block of Sunnyside Drive.

• At 11:34 p.m. on Sunday, an RV battery was reported stolen in the 800 block of North Pearl Street. 

Tablets Taken

• At 6:35 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of tablets stolen from the 700 block of North Pearl Street in the past month. 

Shoplifters Reported

• At 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a theft of food in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue. A female suspect was identified. No arrests were made.

• At 6:55 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a shoplifter in the 1300 block of Lum Road. The case is under investigation. 

• At 11:45 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of a theft of merchandise from a store in the 100 block of West High Street. The suspect’s vehicle was later found and the stolen property was recovered, but the suspect was not located. 

• At 1:20 a.m. on Monday, police received a report of a man trespassing in a store in the 1100 block of Harrison Avenue, then leaving through an emergency exit without paying for an item. The incident is under investigation. 

Packages Containing Medication, Uggs Stolen

• At 11:49 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a theft of packages in the 700 block of North Washington Avenue. Packages containing Ugg boots and medication were taken. 

Centralia Woman Booked on Malicious Mischief Charge

• At 8:19 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 900 block of North Tower Avenue and arrested Marisa R. Grab, 31, of Centralia, on suspicion of third-degree malicious mischief, domestic violence. 

Accused Trespassers Cited

• At 10:03 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 200 block of West Main Street and cited Kelly A. Holen, 32, a transient, on suspicion of second-degree criminal trespass.

• At 10:48 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to the 1200 block of Mellen Street and cited Zita N. Kellogg, 23, of Pe Ell, on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespass. 

• At 10:16 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1400 block of Delaware Avenue and cited William F. H. Adams, 40, a transient, on suspicion of first-degree criminal trespassing. He was allegedly found to be living in a vacant house.

Man Booked on Assault, Malicious Mischief Charges

• At 10:01 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 1700 block of Cooks Hill Road and arrested Morinola B. Atinsola-Moronto, 41, of Centralia, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault and third-degree malicious mischief, both domestic violence charges. He was accused of assaulting his roommate and breaking items belonging to the roommate.

Vehicles Stolen, One Found Two Blocks Away

• At 10:27 p.m. on Sunday, a red 1986 Nissan Pulsar was reported stolen in the 3300 block of Fords Prairie Avenue. The car was later recovered by the owner two blocks from where it was stolen. 

• At 8:46 a.m. on Monday, a red 1998 Honda Civic was reported stolen in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 10:27 a.m. on Sunday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 100 block of South Washington Avenue. An amplifier and subwoofer were reported stolen from a vehicle.

• At 4:36 p.m. on Monday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1800 block of North Pearl Street. A driver’s license, vehicle registration and phone cord were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.  

Suspect Booked on Protection Order Violation

• At 11:11 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to the 300 block of South Iron Street and arrested Alexis S. Collins, 40, of Centralia, on suspicion of violation of a protection order.

Suspects Arrested on Vehicle Prowl, Drug Charge

• At 3:36 a.m. on Monday, police responded to the 1300 block of Belmont Avenue and arrested Robert W. Jones, 32, and Erik G. Spicer, 31, both of Napavine, on suspicion of vehicle prowl. Jones was also booked on suspicion of methamphetamine.

DUI

• At 6:47 a.m. on Monday, police responded to the 400 block of West Reynolds Avenue and arrested Aaron W. Martin, 52, of Centralia, on suspicion of reckless driving and driving under the influence. 

Tools Taken From Carport

• At 12:14 p.m. on Monday, tools were reported stolen from a carport in the 1200 block of Marion Street. 

Hit and Run

• At 4:20 p.m. on Monday, a hit and run was reported in the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue. 

Chehalis Police Department

Suspect Referred for Charges in Theft

• At 9:33 a.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft of merchandise and a fraudulent return in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A suspect is being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of third-degree theft.

Phone Stolen

• At 12:05 p.m. on Friday, a phone was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Harassment Reported

• At 1:23 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of harassment from the 300 block of Southwest Third Street.

• At 7:48 a.m. on Sunday, police received a report of harassment in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A disabled man reported someone was yelling at him and harassing him for using a handicapped parking spot.

Hit and Run

• At 2:06 p.m. on Friday, a hit and run was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Possible Child Pornography Discovered

• At 2:55 p.m. on Friday, police received a report from the 1000 block of Southwest 20th Street about possible child pornography. 

Trespassers Reported

• At 4:32 p.m. on Friday, police received a report that people previously suspected of shoplifting from the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue were trespassing on the property. No arrests were made. 

• At 8:34 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a trespasser in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue.

• At 5 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a group of teenagers trespassing on railroad tracks in the area of the 1500 block of Rice Road. 

No-Smoking Signs Stolen

• At 6:25 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of a theft in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A person allegedly stole no-smoking signs.

Vehicle Damaged

• At 6:37 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of malicious mischief to a vehicle in the 900 block of Northwest Maryland Avenue. 

Drunk, Angry Customer Pees on Business

• At 7:55 p.m. on Friday, police received a report of public urination in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The store reported an intoxicated customer was angry because the store’s bathroom was closed, left the store and peed on the wall outside as customers walked in. No arrests were made.

Teen Faces Charge for Parking Lot Doughnuts

• At 9:01 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a vehicle being driven erratically and doing doughnuts in a parking lot in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A 17-year-old Centralia boy is being referred to prosecutors on suspicion of reckless endangerment.

Baby Found Wandering Alone

• At 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a 1-year-old baby found wandering around alone in the 300 block of Southwest 16th Street.

Wallet Stolen

• At 12:01 p.m. on Saturday, a wallet was reported stolen in the 300 block of South Market Boulevard. 

Vehicle Prowl

• At 9:01 a.m. on Monday, a vehicle prowl was reported in the 1900 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

Protection Order Violated

• At 9:50 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a violation of a protection order in the 300 block of West Main Street.

Lewis County Sheriff’s Office

One Booked on DUI After Crash

• At 11 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a crash in the 100 block of June Lane in Centralia. Driver Spencer M. Churchill, 25, of Centralia, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after reportedly crashing a 1976 Chevrolet Camaro.

Woman Booked on Warrant, Drug Possession After Going to Jail to Retrieve Property

• At 1:15 p.m. on Friday, deputies responded to the Lewis County Jail after receiving a report of a woman with a warrant. The woman, identified as Ashley E. Howland, 29, reportedly went to the jail in an attempt to retrieve personal items belonging to someone else who had been booked into the jail recently. She was found to have a warrant for her arrest and to be in possession of heroin and was arrested and booked, according to the Sheriff’s Office. 

One Cited After Vehicle Drives Off Road

• At 7:58 p.m. on Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a crash in the 1000 block of Shorey Road. They found a 2006 Chevrolet HHR went off the road and through a property before stopping at a burn pile. Driver Rachelle N. Hagler, 22, of Napavine, was cited on suspicion of third-degree driving with a suspended license and was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital for minor injuries. According to the Sheriff’s Office, she reported that she swerved to miss a deer.

Lewis County Jail Statistics

• As of Tuesday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total population of 193 inmates with 166 in general population and 27 in its Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 133 were male and 33 female and of WERC inmates, 23 were male and four were female. One inmate is on work release and 37 were booked through contracts with agencies outside Lewis County.
