Sirens: 11-Year-Old Arrested for Punching Teacher; Randle Man Arrested for DUI

Centralia Police Department

Tires, Wheels Stolen

• At 8:11 a.m. on Tuesday, a set of four wheels and tires was reported stolen from a parked vehicle in the 1000 block of South Gold Street. 

11-Year-Old Arrested for Punching Teacher

• At 11:46 a.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a report of an assault in the 800 block of Field Avenue. An 11-year-old was arrested on suspicion of fourth-degree assault for allegedly punching a teacher several times. The teacher was not seriously injured.

Woman Reports Assault 

• At 4:26 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of an assault in the 700 block of South Gold Street. A woman reported she was assaulted by another woman while inside a parked vehicle. The alleged victim was treated at a hospital for her injuries. The case is being forwarded to the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Suspect Booked on Theft Charge

• At 9:33 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a report of a theft in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue and arrested William Sacks, 55, a transient, on suspicion of third-degree theft. 

Rochester Suspect Arrested for Drug Charge

• At 10:50 p.m. on Tuesday, police responded to a report of a trespasser in the 100 block of South Pearl Street. Aaron J. Henning, 28, of Rochester, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine. 

Chehalis Police Department

Trespasser Reported After Argument with Store Manager

• At 12:23 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a person trespassing in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made. The person was reportedly loudly preaching on a religious subject and arguing with a store manager about his right to be there.

Hit and Run

• At 5:41 p.m. on Monday, police received a report of a hit and run in the 300 block of West Main Street. No arrests were made. 

Mom Reports Bullying

• At 6:32 p.m. on Monday, a woman in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue reported her son was being bullied by another juvenile male. 

Accused Trespassers Refuse to Leave Store Bathrooms

• At 1:44 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a trespasser in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. The man reportedly smelled like he had been drinking and refused to leave the store and was in the bathroom when police were called. No arrests were made.

• At 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a trespasser in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A woman was reportedly refusing to leave the business’s bathroom. No arrests were made. 

Woman Arrested on Assault Charge

• At 8:16 a.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of an assault in the 1900 block of Southeast Magnolia Drive. They later arrested suspect Lidia E. Cozar-Martinez, 18, of Chehalis, on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. 

Thefts Reported

• At 12:21 p.m. on Tuesday, a third-degree theft was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 2:33 p.m. on Tuesday, a third-degree theft was reported on Southwest Chehalis Avenue. 

Credit Card Fraud

• At 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, credit card fraud was reported in the 400 block of Northeast Washington Avenue. 

Trespassers Reported

• At 4:43 p.m. on Tuesday, a trespasser was reported in a business in the 1400 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. No arrests were made. 

• At 5:11 p.m. on Tuesday, a trespasser was reported in the 1500 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. A woman was reportedly loitering in a store. 

• At 9:04 p.m. on Tuesday, a trespasser was reported in the 1600 block of Northwest Louisiana Avenue. 

• At 10:44 p.m. on Tuesday, a trespasser was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue. 

• At 1:38 a.m. on Wednesday, a trespasser was reported in the 100 block of Southwest Interstate Avenue. 

Lewis County Jail

• As of Thursday morning, the Lewis County Jail had a total system population of 222 inmates with 190 in general population and 32 in the Work Ethic and Restitution Center. Of general population inmates, 146 were men and 44 women and of WERC inmates, 29 were men and three women. A total of 29 inmates were booked through contracts outside Lewis County.

Randle Suspect Arrested on DUI, Hit and Run Charges

• At 11:55 p.m. on Monday, deputies responded to the intersection of Silverbrook and Gharet roads in Randle after receiving a report of a truck hitting a tree. Witnesses reported a 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe hit a tree, then drove off. Driver Brandon K. Jackson, 29, of Randle, was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and hit and run. 

Two Arrested After Interrupted Burglary

• At 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, deputies responded to a report of an interrupted burglary at a business in the 2200 block of U.S. Highway 12. A Garmin GPS, Nikon rangefinder, backpacks, knives, a jacket and radios were stolen. Deputies arrived and arrested Regina Champaco, 42, of Tacoma, on suspicion of second-degree burglary, second-degree theft and violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act. Christopher Church, 25, of Ethel, was referred to prosecutors on suspicion of possession of stolen property.

Tools, Truck Stolen in Toledo Burglary

• At 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a report of a residential burglary in the 600 block of state Route 506 in Toledo. Tools and a 1993 Ford flatbed truck were reported stolen the previous night.
