Sex Offenders Register as Transient in Thurston County

Two sex offenders have recently registered as transient in Thurston County, according to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office.

Cody H. Johnson, 48, is required to register as a Level 3 sex offender due to a 1994 conviction in Oregon of first-degree rape that caused or threatened serious physical injury. He was sentenced for that conviction to 71 to 80 months in prison. 

He was accused of, at 21 years old, sexually assaulting a 26-year-old woman using force. 

Johnson is described as a white male standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 135 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. 

The second man, Austin E. Hall, 23, is required to register as a Level 1 sex offender due to a 2007 conviction as a juvenile for first-degree rape of a child. At 13, he was accused of sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl.

He was sentenced to 15 to 36 weeks confinement in a juvenile facility. 

Hall is described as a white male standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
