Police arrested a man for warrants and a drug charge Monday night in Chehalis after he was reportedly caught trying to defecate in a clothes dryer.
Police responded at 9:19 p.m. on Monday to the 200 block of Southwest 11th Street. They contacted a suspect, Elias Galaviz, 21, of Chehalis, and learned he had outstanding warrants for his arrest.
According to the Lewis County Jail log, Galaviz had failure to appear warrants on charges including being a minor in possession, making a false statement and driving with a suspended license, in addition to a hold on a hit and run case.
A search at the time of his arrest reportedly found heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to the Chehalis Police Department.
Galaviz was arrested on the outstanding warrants and referred to prosecutors on suspicion of possession of heroin.
