Onalaska Driver Dies in Rollover Crash

An Onalaska man died Thursday night in a rollover crash five miles west of the town, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The man’s name has not yet been released, pending a notification of next of kin by the Lewis County Coroner’s Office.

He is listed on a State Patrol report as a 53-year-old man from Onalaska.

A passenger, identified by the State Patrol as Stephanie R. Richards, 45, of Onalaska, was injured and transported to Providence Centralia Hospital.

Troopers from the Washington State Patrol responded at 9:12 p.m. Thursday night to the crash at milepost 3.2 of state Route 508, five miles west of Onalaska.

The vehicle, a 1999 Ford F-250 truck, was headed east on the highway when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which rolled and came to rest in a pasture.

The cause of the crash is listed as the truck’s wheels going off the road.

No charges are pending. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
