As of Thursday morning, police do not believe the death of a man found behind a Centralia business to be suspicious, Sgt. Tracy Murphy told The Chronicle.
The person has been identified as a 49-year-old male with a Chehalis address. His name has not been released.
Police received a report at 7:08 a.m. Thursday of a deceased person behind a business in the 500 block of Harrison Avenue.
“There’s nothing that appears suspicious,” Murphy said. “We don’t know at this time if it’s a medical issue or if it was the elements. We have no idea why he was there.”
The Lewis County Coroner’s Office will determine the man’s cause and manner of death.
