Join Our Partnership: Centralia Adopt-A-Block + Lewis County Watch

Join us on Saturday, April 11, for the launch of Centralia Adopt-A-Block — now a community partner with Lewis County Watch!

Adopt-A-Block is a new program rolling out through the Centralia Downtown Association. The vision of Adopt-A-Block is to involve the entire Centralia community — businesses, residents, and organizations — in making Centralia cleaner, safer, and stronger. This program was designed, organized, and is operated by Centralia residents and business owners, who have come together to create a stronger sense of community responsibility and ownership for our streets — an idea that we hope catches on!

lcw_logoAdopt-A-Block has also partnered with Lewis County Watch /! As part of Adopt-A-Block’s partnership with Lewis County Watch, our program can reach a larger audience, distribute important, timely neighborhood and crime watch information, and assist the business community in staying up-to-date and informed on crime-related news and information.

Lewis County Watch & also assists in distributing information about stolen property, in efforts to help businesses and community members recover lost and / or stolen property. Followers and readers of Lewis County Watch & already know what a powerful effect and positive impact that neighborhood watch programs and community clean up efforts can have on a community.

Anyone can “adopt a block” in Centralia, and we’re encouraging local businesses and nonprofits, especially, to help us launch this exciting new community offering.

To sign up means to “adopt a block” 12 months, and a commitment to regular clean ups of that block throughout the year. We have three scheduled cleanup events planned this year — the first being April 11th (the others in July and October). A $35 sign up fee is set aside specifically for the purchase of cleaning supplies (if supplies are not needed this fee can be discussed).

As recognition for your commitment, a sign will be posted near your business or organization, indicating that you or your business has adopted the block, much like Adopt-A-Highway signs.

To sign up to “adopt-a-block,” please message us through our Facebook page, email us here, or call (360) 623-1584.
