A fire Monday night in Winlock destroyed a barn filled with hay and damaged two other structures used for storage, according to Lewis County Fire District 15.
The fire was first reported at 8:32 p.m. on Sargent Road in Winlock. The first unit arrived a few minutes later and reported a fully involved barn fire spreading to vegetation.
By 9:10 p.m., the fire was out, said Assistant Chief Kevin Anderson, of Fire District 15.
The barn in which hay was stored was a total loss, Anderson said, and two other structures, another barn and a shop building, were damaged. One adult male was treated at the scene for breathing issues but not transported to the hospital.
The fire is under investigation by the Chehalis Fire Department.
