A Portland, Oregon, driver was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence after a single-vehicle crash on state Route 7 north of Morton Saturday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
According to a report from the state patrol, a 2004 Jeep Cherokee driven by David A. Jones, 67, was heading northbound on state Route 7 about 14 miles north of Morton when the Jeep crossed the centerline and the southbound lane, went off the road and hit several trees.
The vehicle came to rest about 60 feet off the road and was totaled.
Jones was injured and transported to Morton General Hospital.
Jones has been cited on suspicion of DUI, driving without a valid license and driving with wheels off the roadway, according to the state patrol.
