Chehalis Police: Thieves Using Modified Keys to Steal Hondas

By The Chronicle

In response to a recent uptick in reports of stolen vehicles, the Chehalis Police Department has issued a warning to owners of 1990s-model Hondas in particular — a commonly stolen vehicle.

Car thieves have used modified keys, allowing them to unlock and start models of older Honda Civics, according to the department.

“Try to choose a safe place to park your car and it may be worthwhile to consider using or installing an anti-theft device,” according to a Facebook post from the Chehalis Police Department.
