Chehalis Man Charged for Alleged Threats to Kill Over Property Dispute

By The Chronicle

A Chehalis man is facing two felony harassment charges after allegedly threatening to kill several people over a dispute about property.

Harry L. Lauster, 61, of Chehalis, was charged Monday in Lewis County Superior Court with two counts of harassment — threat to kill.

He posted $20,000 bail after his arrest and appeared at his preliminary hearing Monday afternoon out of custody.

Superior Court Judge Joely O’Rourke agreed to maintain that bail amount.

According to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office and court documents, deputies responded at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday to a report of a dispute in the 1500 block of Middle Fork Road.

The sheriff’s office reported the dispute originated with an eviction.

Lauster allegedly threatened to shoot two people.
