Centralia Man Charged With Rape of Teen

By The Chronicle

A Centralia man was charged Thursday in Lewis County Superior Court for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl in late 2016.

Frank I. Flores, 31, was charged Thursday with second-degree rape of a child.

Flores appeared in custody. Superior Court Judge Andrew Toynbee imposed $50,000 bail, in accordance with a request from the Lewis County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to court documents, detectives received a referral in February from Child Protective Services, which had earlier received a report of Flores allegedly having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl.

A detective contacted the alleged victim who “did not disclose any concerns” about the suspect, according to court documents.

Detectives contacted the person who made the CPS claim. That person told them she had a conversation over social media with Flores in which he allegedly told her he had sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl.

Detectives visited the victim again, who confirmed the information in the social media messages provided by the witness.
