No one was injured Saturday morning in a fire reported at a Centralia home, according to a news release from the Riverside Fire Authority.
The fire was reported at 7:45 a.m. at an address in the 100 block of McAtee Road.
The first-arriving fire crew found fire on one side of the home next to a chimney. All residents had evacuated and were attempting to fight the fire with a garden hose.
“A large amount of storage materials had to be moved to gain good access to the burning wall,” according to the RFA.
Crews had to cut through the wall to extinguish the fire, which caused “moderate” damage to the structure.
The cause of the fire was not suspicious but is under investigation, according to the RFA.
The Chehalis Fire Department also responded.
