Lewis County has received a $44,200 grant from the Washington State Military Department for professional development in the 911 communications center.
The grant was approved by the Board of Lewis County Commissioners on Monday.
According to the agenda report, certain county expenses for the daily operations of the center are eligible for reimbursement.
The contract “addresses the amount of basic funds available under the Wireline and Wireless contract reimbursement program for support of professional development during the contract period of July 1, 2017 through August 15, 2018.
Dave Anderson, the county’s 911 communications division manager, said the coordinated professional development grant supports training and travel costs, among others items.
